Aiming to provide continuous educational opportunities and full fill the University's mission. The Jagannath University central library started its journey from the beginning of the University in 2005 from then on the library has been playing an essential part in the university through its various services and facilities. It has been designed to meet the information, research and curriculum needs of students, faculties and staff members for research and development activities.

Central Library is situated on the 5th floor of the new academic building, the library comprises four reading rooms with a total of 350 seats, accommodating teachers and students form the University's 38 departments across six faculties.

To support the University community in developing lifelong skills in innovative and analytical thinking, research, information literacy, and to provide distinctive collections, services, facilities and programs.

The Jagannath University Central Library is very popular among its users about 1000 users visit the library daily and nearly 500 to 800 users make use of its circulation facilities. 500 to 700 students avail the Newspaper facilities. While other readers got access to E-Resources like E-Journals, E-books. Text books, reference books & reference service facilities.
